New TPE HI-TEMP Wheels

Colson Caster Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of standard and custom application caster and wheel products, today announced a new addition to its 2 Series wheel product group – the TPE HI-TEMP wheel. Built with an easy running, heat resistant exterior, the new wheel is designed for applications where moderate to high temperature and washing and steaming environments may be the norm.
“The entire construction of the wheel dictates worry free hardiness and operation,” said Charles Harris, engineering manager at Colson. “We have not only crafted its elements with the toughest materials, but also joined them together with the most advanced bonding and sealing technologies.”
Thoroughly tested in Colson’s own engineering labs, the thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) tread material on the TPE HI-TEMP wheel is chemically bonded to a tough and environmentally sound polyolefin core. This combination of corrosion-free, heavy-duty materials and hearty package design make the wheel perfect for medical and food processing environments requiring strength and durability during washing operations and hot, wet clean-ups. In addition, the wheels feature a single insert, molded and sealed, stainless steel precision ball bearing with a white, glass-filled nylon thread guard for years of maintenance-free, dependable wear.
The new TPE-HI-TEMP wheel can facilitate up to 350 total pounds of weight load and is available now in 3, 3 ½, 4, 5, and 6 inch wheel diameters, each with a 1 ¼ inch tread width. 6″ Round Triumph Wheel Introduced by Colson

Colson Caster Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of standard and custom application caster and wheel products, has added a new 6” Triumph™ Wheel to its growing product offerings as an option for manufacturing environments where high capacity loads need to be moved with non-marking and skid resistant ease. The introduction is accompanied by sale pricing for both models of the Triumph Wheel, the new 6” and the existing 8” version, with load capacities up to 900 and 1200 lbs per wheel, respectively.
“This new Triumph Wheel has been requested by customers where the attributes are needed but the loads are lighter,” said Brian Crain, product manager for Colson. “This wheel gives the end user a more cost effective alternative to meet their needs.”
With the MPH on the end still standing for speed, with smooth and silent rolling manageability, Colson’s new 6” Triumph Wheel is available in two models with 80 and 95 Shore A durometer polyurethane tread. The non-marking, polyurethane wheels, constructed in red and blue, are equipped with a light-weight aluminum core and Round tread for managing obstructions and enhanced swivel over other flat tread units. Like its bigger brother, the new 6” model is built to resist damage from chemicals, acids, oils, and other caustic substances, and can also handle temperatures ranging from –40 degrees to 180 degrees. Targeted applications and markets for the sale priced Triumph category include tow line and automotive manufacturing sites among others, where load capacity and ergonomic performance are critical.

New Dolly Casters by Colson

Available immediately, Colson’s new Dolly Caster is offered with special price breaks for multiple-box quantities.

Sculpted to move dollies, food service carts, and stock carts easily and silently, with a clean non-marking roll, the new Dolly Caster rolls on – even in today’s most demanding material handling environments! The Dolly Caster fork is formed in an attractive and durable zinc-plated finish with a standard top plate mounting and fitted with an easy-rolling and non-marking grey TPR wheel. In addition the caster is built with a single centered precision wheel bearing to provide easy rolling with a unique plastic thread guard that also serves as an integrated spanner bushing. All of Colson’s Dolly Casters have a 1 ¼” tread and are available in 3”, 3 1/2”, 4” and 5” wheel diameters with load capacities from 180 to 260 pounds respectively.
